Red Clover Tops contains isoflavones and coumarin compounds, the latter of which are partly responsible for the sweet taste of the flower tops that bees enjoy visiting and people enjoy in salads and teas. Together with the flowers, the somewhat bitter leaves are used in tea blends. Red clover flowers and leaves are also used to make infusions and extracts .

Example of use: Tea : 1 cup three times daily; 4 g flower tops/150 ml water. Other consideration for use; tinctures, Liquid extract, Isoflavones extract,

Cosmetic: Use in facial steams. Infuse in oil, tincture or prepare as a strong infusion for use in cosmetic formulations.
Decoration: Add to potpourri and herbal displays.

Culinary: Use in tea blends. Red clover tops may also be added to soups, salads, herbal vinegars and baked goods.
Household: Red clover flowers yield a yellow dye.

Red Clover Tops are said to be a source of many valuable nutrients including calcium, chromium, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, potassium, and vitamin C. It is also considered to be one of the richest sources of isoflavones which are water-soluble chemicals that act like estrogen and is found in many different plants.
